📈 Buy/sell market shares

Steps to Buy Market Shares

1. Select a market: Choose the specific market you want to participate in.
2. Choose an outcome: Select the outcome you believe will occur.
3. Click the Buy tab: Enter the amount of collateral tokens you want to use to purchase shares.
4. System calculation: The system will calculate the approximate number of shares you can buy based on the current market price.
5. (Optional) Configure slippage: Adjust the slippage tolerance if needed (default is 3%).
6. Click Buy: Initiate the purchase transaction.

7. Confirm two transactions:
   • Approve tokens: Authorize the spending of your collateral tokens (if the collateral token is HLUSD, there will be no need to approve the tokens).
   • Execute purchase: Complete the transaction to buy the shares.

Steps to Sell Market Shares

1. Select a market: Choose the market where you hold shares.
2. Choose an outcome: Select the outcome associated with your shares.
3. Click the Sell tab: Enter the number of shares you want to sell.
4. System calculation: The system will calculate the approximate amount of collateral tokens you will receive.
5. (Optional) Configure slippage: Adjust the slippage tolerance if needed (default is 3%).
6. Click Sell: Initiate the sell transaction.

7. Confirm two transactions:
   • Approve shares: Authorize the selling of your shares.
   • Execute sale: Complete the transaction to sell your shares.

Note

• Slippage: Your transaction will revert if prices change unfavorably due to other orders. This does not account for slippage caused by your own order.
• Collateral tokens: These are the tokens used as collateral to purchase shares in a market.
• Avg price: the average price per share
• Shares: the number of shares you will receive (at least)
• Potential return: the amount of token reward you will receive if you winning
